The Map

It feels like this film could have been about 100 times as long to really capture how hard digitizing and re-designing the New York Subway map actually was, but 10 minutes still gives a good insight into the project.

First designed on paper in 1904, the map has been through a bunch of changes, dealing with battles between geography vs geometry, making it look good vs making it realistic, and the common issues of creating posters to keep commuters updated on constant changes.

And they did it for free!
